John Doran RIP

This is me today but when I was just 16 years old I had no idea what I wanted to do, pulled up on my little white Suzuki ER50 moped at a local building site run by Tarmac Construction asked for a job they gave me the ‘Start’ as a Chainboy £32.50 a week - wow I was rich!
I met a guy there by the name of John Doran the Site Foreman 10 years my senior. How lucky was I that day this man helped me , guided me and generally gave me good sound advise for many many years. He was such good craic too a real character and became a friend.
John has recently and sadly passed away.
I don’t generally post on personal matters however I’d like to say some 42 years on from that 16 year old boy "Thank you John for everything you did for me you were a major influence in my professional and personal life". God rest JD. ❤️
